Seeking New Ways To Keep Our Schools Strong

Ohio's schools are facing a financial crisis. Ongoing problems with State funding, rising costs, and new requirements in education all add pressure to already tight budgets.

However, NOBS believes there are ways to reduce this pressure by approaching a school district like a business - understanding needs and expenses, and managing funds in an efficient manner.

Our goal is to identify opportunities in the Milford Exempted Village School District for more efficient and effective operations, leading to reduced cost on the NON-EDUCATIONAL side of the budget.

We want to be able to keep our excellent teachers (and give them raises); the programs our children need to be competitive in the world; and the services that make going to school a pleasure for all involved. This can only be accomplished by a new approach to administration, a new way of thinking about school budgets.

Our children deserve the best education possible. Instead of cutting teachers, programs & services, we need to look for ways to reduce spending on the non-educational side of the budget.
